• 2004 (The First Retro):
  • This release stayed remarkably true to the 1998 specifications, featuring the highly sought-after 3M reflective ballistic mesh on the side panels and a Varsity Red suede finish. It came packaged in Jordan's iconic silver box of that era.
• 2013 (The Controversial Change):
  • This version disappointed many purists. Jordan Brand chose to remove the 3M reflective material from the mesh panels. The absence of that signature flash under light caused it to be viewed as an incomplete retro by collectors. 
• 2017 (The Remastered Correction):
  • Released on August 19, 2017, this version was a direct response to fan feedback. Jordan Brand restored the original 3M reflective threading to the mesh. They also introduced retro-inspired silver/grey boxing as a direct nod to the 1998 original packaging.
